Hi! My name is Rory, and I am a book lover currently living in Victoria, British Columbia, Canada. While this blog focuses primarily on Canadian Contemporary Fiction, I love reading books of all kinds. Some of my favourites include Ruth Ozeki’s A Tale for the Time-Being, Mary Ann Evans’ Silas Marner, and Herman Melville’s Moby-Dick. My favourite author is Toni Morrison, however I’ve also got a huge soft spot for children’s fiction authors like Maurice Sendak, Shel Silverstein and Dr. Seuss.

I’ve recently graduated with an English degree and a minor in professional communications. This website is primarily an outlet for me to rave/vent about books, as my friends and family have gotten tired of listening to me talk about them. Apparently my taste in literature is much too sad. Forget them!
